Hello World!

So, here we go, I’m starting my travel blog, 8 years after I began my nomad journey and after much deliberation.

It took me a very long time to convince myself that this will be a good idea. I always knew it will come to this, since I do love writing, and with all the amazing places I travel to… the experiences and the unforgettable moments, and people I meet, it was inevitable I will put pen to paper one day . And even if nobody reads this, I’ll do it anyway.
But thank you, for being here and taking your time to read my posts, because as much as I hope to bring value to you, as a reader, I also hope you will find pleasure in reading my stories, which will of course, make my effort worthwhile. And that alone, is a good enough reason for putting pen to paper, as the old saying goes (although, I’m typing on the screen as it happens these days, but you get the point.)

With this blog I’m starting today, I have two goals:

First, I will list all the places I visit and give you practical advice – tips from personal experience, the things to do and the things to avoid. This will be of most use for anyone who travels and needs real advice, not just some promotional articles, written with the sole purpose of selling an affiliate link or a product. There’s too much of those all over the web now. It’s hard to find a blog that actually gives you real opinion or genuine advice.

And second, I want to share all kinds of things with you, things I do and like and even pieces from my diary, at random… for my own record, and for anyone who enjoys reading real life stories, things that actually happen and without the fictional hyperbole. I was never a fan of making up things. On the contrary, I am known to usually play down even the most extraordinary events in my life. But worry not, I shall not spare you the details of anything note-worthy, should there be any (there is, I can assure you).

I’ve been taking notes on my travels over the past couple of years, so I will start with entries from the past and slowly move into present time diary style posting, so hopefully this will serve your curiosity well.

With that said, let’s dive into it.

Welcome to Oggs’ Earth – the world as I live it.
